The Denver Post says 2007 had the best fall season for movies since the late 1970s. Chalk it up to good writing, says film critic Lisa Kennedy. However, “it might seem odd to praise the year in films, given that it has ended with such devastating labor problems in Hollywood.”
Meanwhile, higher education officials are trying to figure out how to better teach writing to college students. A noble effort, but perhaps a bit late in the game?
