Okay. I’m sorry about anything bad I might have said about audiobooks. As in, “They’re for people who can’t read,” or “That shitty radio?” or “Tony Robbins can kiss my poor, living-check-to-check ass.”
Thanks to Audible.com, I’ve had a change of heart. While flying to and from my high school reunion in Minneapolis, I listened to NPR reporter Anne Garrels read her memoir, Naked in Baghdad on my beloved iPod (a device perfectly designed for listening to seven hours of war correspondence).
Next up: Truman, by David McCullough. It’s 53 hours long.
